TaKeyia M. Dickens, MBA, CFEE, is a dynamic Community Curator whose work focuses on creating and nurturing spaces where communities can come together to grow, connect, and thrive. For four(4) years, TaKeyia served as the Community Partnerships Manager at the National Cherry Blossom Festival, where her innovative approach inspired those around her to think beyond the box.

Recognized as the Festival’s “in-kind queen,” she secured over $520,000 in monetary sponsorships and over $420,000 in in-kind support, while managing a $200,000 community engagement budget and overseeing 18+ programs and prospect accounts. Her ability to maximize resources and cultivate relationships with both traditional and non-traditional partners helped expand the Festival’s reach and deepen its community impact.
A testament to her expertise in festival and event planning, TaKeyia has earned the Certified Festival & Event Executive (CFEE) designation from the International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA). Her strong educational foundation underpins her dedication to bridging cultural gaps and fostering unity: she holds a Bachelor’s in Media Management from North Carolina A&T State University, a Master’s in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University, and an MBA from the University of Maryland, University College.
